Alan Tonge
In the eighth episode of series two, Clint Boon chats to ex-professional footballer, sports psychologist, University lecturer and mental health ambassador, Alan Tonge.
Alan was the first signing by Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United at 14 years old, and he tells Clint about what it was like playing for the Reds at that time. He also describes the heartbreak he felt after injury ended his career, how getting back into education gave him purpose again and how it led to a career in sports psychology.
